Prior to becoming
conductor of the Mall City Chorus, Chris served as VP of Music &
Performance. For his service in that capacity he was named member of the
year in 2000 and 2001. He holds a degree in Music Education from WMU,
where he studied choral conducting under Dr. Joe Miller. Chris is
currently leading the chorus in the production of its first CD, to be
released in the fall of 2006.
In addition to directing the Mall City Chorus, Chris currently serves as a music teacher at Covert Public Schools; private instructor in voice, piano, and guitar; webmaster/technology chair for ACDA Michigan (acdami.org); and worship consultant at First Baptist Church of Portage. He is a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA), and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).
This past summer, he also became a member of the Hill family by marrying the lovely Desiree Leigh Hill on August 6, 2005.
